Christmas knitting.

So I actually finished some Christmas gifts before the actual day. Not many, but a few. My Mom's feltable hat was done... Here she is pre-felting.

Big hat.

It took a couple agitation cycles to felt...

Felted hat.

And a loooooong time to dry. But it turned out cute I think!

Mom hat.

My brother's red/black/grey scarf turned out to be approximately 8" long, but he's happy with it. It's really soft, being made from Simply Soft and all. I'm a big fan of the sideway garter stitch scarf. I think it looks really cool.

My bro's Christmas gift... loooooong scarf.

Then I was whining that no one has ever knit me anything. So my mom whipped up this scarf so fast!

My mom knit me a scarf!

I also order some yarn from handpaintedyarn.com for a couple more post-Christmas gifts.

Yummy handpaintyarn.com yarn!

This stuff knits up in a jiffy. It seems this is all I have time to knit anymore. It's quite sad really...

Big US35 needles + bulky yarn = fast scarf.

I have come to the conclusion that I am a horrible blogger. I can't post with any regularity and my posts are mostly empty "look at the (little) progress I have made!" There are many awesome knit bloggers out there that I would love to emulate. But I just don't have the dedication or time... Kuddos to those who do. I wish I could shift my priorities, but it just can't be done right now. Anyway, have a great weekend. I'm going to Pittsburgh to work this weekend. Woopee.
